Pride month was amazing. We celebrated, we recovered, we’re still here. It’s been the summer that never began over here we’re busier than ever and just making the most of how many new amazing men we’re meeting on a daily basis.
Each of our Clients are different to the next, which makes this job still exciting 12 years down the line. Although there are key factors everyone we meet have in common- such as: all genuinely seeking a long-term, monogamous relationship, relationship ready, emotionally intelligent, passionate about what they do for work etc. The intricacies which makes two members a match mean we have to have a vast network to be able to match all of our Clients up.
Though many of our Clients are not on the scene and lead lives of working, seeing friends, travelling- rather than being at circuit parties every weekend. Pride is for everyone, it is a month of celebrating the Queer community. All of our Clients are out and proud and the cities that we operate in know how to celebrate that to the nines.
Watching how matchmaking has changed and developed since I first began in 2011 is incredible. Breaking down stereotypes, watching gay love be more celebrated in the media, on our screens. Having celebrities come out and break down barriers is truly beautiful to watch. You don’t need us to say that. But the energy around our service has developed from gratitude that theres a service out there that caters only for gay love, to an expectation that of course there should be a matchmaking agency for gay singles! I've watched families grow through surrogacy, I’ve watched men lose their partners and find love again, move from careers they felt they had to prove themselves in because of stigma growing up to following passion projects. Within The Echelon Scene we are lucky to see the beauty of men being truly comfortable in themselves and proud of it.
We always aim to learn, improve and grow and I want to say a personal thank you to all of our members for being on this journey with us. When I started the business I promised myself I wouldn’t take on Clients that I didn’t feel I could truly help, this isn’t about the money it’s about delivering a service to find someone love. I want to continue growing, learning and meeting men that help me do that. Our growth month on month means that I can deliver everyone’s expectations and find everyone love. So keep on reaching out! 2023 has been a banging year and hopefully a few marriage proposals we have our fingers crossed for. So whilst we’re not vacationing, we are browsing wedding hats and chatting to inspiring men. And that’s a summer treat for us.
