If you were wondering if seasonal dating is a thing. It is! At the Echelon Scene we definitely have busier months than others. For example September, October and November are busy every year in the run up to Christmas. Everyone is home, working and focusing on building their future. That's often when they decide to give us a call! February, March, April and May are the same as Sept-Nov. The summer becomes trickier as it nears August, which is a month where so many of our Client’s are all over the world travelling. Those that are in the same city are either bored and wanting to date, or manic and covering their colleagues work. Ultimately, everyone is on different pages. Setting up dates in August is notoriously tricky and some years we will give an additional month on our Client's membership if it runs over August.
Then, there’s Christmas! Christmas is actually different every year for us, including January. Everyone goes away at the same time, so it makes my job that much easier. However, there are a lot of distractions in the build up to Christmas, work Christmas parties, catching up with friends from all over the world who are back in the same city. Or gearing up for travel and feeling extra busy at work.
January is different, some years the momentum hits immediately after Boxing Day is over and some years people want to detox a bit, do dry Jan and kick things off in Feb, ready for Valentines Day. Either is fine for us as our start date for our Clients isn’t until their first face-to-face date anyway. So we begin working with a Client, getting their profile ready and pics and discussing matches and technically their membership hasn’t even begun.
One piece of advice is to keep at it. Don’t forget your end goal of finding a partner throughout all the Christmas craziness. Whether that’s stopping yourself having that final drink at your work Christmas party the night before a big date. Or simply carving out the time and ensuring you can dedicate a couple of hours a week to date. Or whether it’s avoiding your third dessert knowing you want to feel your best in Jan. Or just making sure to keep in touch with someone you're dating over the two week period you might not see them.
Christmas can be a busy, crazy time – but it can also be a great time to meet someone. So don’t waste the opportunity. Remember you want to be sitting at your family Christmas drinks in 2022 with your partner, proving your skeptical in laws wrong! If you need help getting through the holidays, please reach out to Jacqueline Burns directly and she can point you in the right direction to find love.
